Academy

Let's take a moment to develop your most important skill:

your self.

Welcome to take a first step through this introduction exercise.

From Check-in

to Shadow Work

with Powerful Guidance:

A Transformational Formula

First part of the exercise:

I invite you to start a simple yet powerful practice of self-check-ins every morning, midday, and evening.

This doesn’t need to take more than a minute or two, but it will have a profound impact. The goal is to consciously reflect on what you’re doing, feeling, and thinking in those moments. Ideally, you’ll write it down, but even a mental note can make a huge difference.

Writing things down helps you spot patterns, giving you a clearer picture of where your energy and attention are going.

How to check in

Don’t worry, this practice isn’t meant to add pressure. Fit it into your schedule at your own pace. Whether it’s while brushing your teeth, doing the dishes, or eating breakfast, you can always find a moment. In the evening, it could be while watching TV, right before bed, or even lying in bed. These check-ins help you break free from autopilot mode, making sure that you—not automatic habits—are steering your life.

Here’s what to ask yourself in each check-in:

  • What am I doing?
  • Where is my attention going?
  • What are my thoughts?

What people say about our founder

"Julie is wonderful as a space holder, incredibly patient as a therapist and guide, and so gentle and loving in her approach that I opened up with her more than I ever have with anyone, myself included.

I felt so safe and nurtured while speaking with her, and the strength she gave me has continued to support me for many months after our meetings.

Not only does she have a ton of experience and knowledge, but the way she conveys it comes with a personal touch which brings everything she says to life.

Julie has changed my perspective on myself and the world around me so much, and I highly recommend her services to everyone and anyone- she’s the best!"

Part 2: A small glimpse into your shadow

Find one moment each day when you have space and capacity to go deeper. This is the beginning of your shadow work—acknowledging the parts of yourself you might be avoiding.

Find your shadow – What am I avoiding?

Here’s a very small part of our shadow work journey, which you can start today safely.

Shadow work is a powerful process of uncovering the parts of ourselves that we’ve hidden, rejected, or suppressed (our “shadow”). It’s often those aspects that we’re afraid to face or feel ashamed of. However, by integrating these parts, we can move towards true healing and wholeness.

Daily Trigger Tracker:
Every time you feel triggered or overly emotional in your daily life, write down the situation and ask, “What part of myself is being reflected here? What am I afraid to acknowledge?”

Self-Compassion Practice:
Each time you recognize a shadow trait (e.g., jealousy, shame, anger), pause and place your hand on your heart. Take a deep breath and say, “It’s okay to feel this. I accept this part of myself.”

Affirm your worth:
Regularly remind yourself that these shadows and wounds do not define you. You are not your mistakes or your past.

Celebrate progress:
Healing is gradual, and even small insights should be acknowledged.

Shadow work is not easy, and that’s why we created the vault full of tools to support your powerful decision to go into this darkness—something most people avoid their whole lives.
